Episode 22: The Future of Luxury w/ Amanda Frasier

In today’s episode, Sara is joined by Amanda Frasier, President of Ratings for Forbes Travel Guide.

With her 19+ years of experience at Forbes Travel Guide, Amanda has had a front-row seat to the evolution of the luxury hospitality industry. With her various roles in the organization and now as President of Ratings, she and her team have been the leaders in *literally* creating the standards and guidelines for what it means to deliver a luxury guest experience.

The two discuss Forbes Travel Guide’s business model (how do they make money?!) and how the company and its clients quickly pivoted during the pandemic, as tourism and hospitality were amongst the most impacted industries.

Amanda shares with us how to embrace authenticity to empower teams and connect with clients to deliver a luxury experience at any level.  She explains what the future of hospitality looks like -- spoiler alert -- it’s not fine china and linens. She and the Forbes Travel Guide team are prioritizing four areas of focus: well-being, environmental responsibility, community, and guest experience.

Additionally, the two discuss how to remove intimidation when servicing or selling to a luxury clientele, and a key piece of advice is to not overthink it!
